Retail activation with the All Blacks in France

For the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France, we brought the legendary All Blacks together with our partner O’Rugby in Toulouse. 150 invited fans had the exclusive opportunity to preview the latest adidas rugby collection and attend an in-store talk with the players. The event featured signing sessions, photo opportunities, and a high-stakes giveaway.
To amplify the reach, we collaborated with rugby content creator Nogodi (130k+ followers), who produced specialized content featuring the players. The focus was on product innovation, World Cup expectations, and general rugby culture. Among the attending athletes was Will Jordan, who went on to become the tournament’s top try-scorer with 8 tries, even as the All Blacks narrowly lost the final to South Africa.

3 Key Learnings:

  • Organization: Trusting your partners and ensuring early coordination is essential—especially when high-profile athletes are involved.
  • Creative Freedom: Influencers and creators bring their own unique ideas; they know which formats truly resonate with their audience.
  • Fan Culture: Creating authentic moments where fans can connect with their idols provides immense long-term brand value.
